Welcome to our Gallery Page! Since we have had this web site at Our Redeemer from early 1999 we have tried to document the pages lavishly with photos of our activities. Over the years major events many times have offered so many good photographs that we have been at a loss to select just Ten to go into our Photo Album. Hopes to put more up in a later upload have almost always been pushed aside because of new activities and events stacking up. That's a wonderful situation but we still feel that a more complete photographic story of some of the major Events such as National Youth Assemblies, Mission Trips, special VBS experiences, and other such activites would be of interest to some people who follow Our Redeemer through our web pages. Please let us know if you enjoy them or not. We started out with one Gallery, photos from our memorable VBS in 2006 with over a hundred members and friends involved. If you don't have high speed internet it will be slow, but if you really want to see it, it will work. That's why you have to click to advance the images instead of seeing them in a slide show. A slide show would be almost hopeless with dial up. It is worth the trouble, though. You may see somebody you know. and you'll definitly have a more comprehensive view of the event and the people involved. With the predominance of broadband access today, the newer galleries we have added have even larger pictures with slide shows available. These new galleries also use exciting new technologies available in the newer browsers. If you use a legacy browser and it doesn't work properly with the new style galleries we have provided Lagacy Gallery links below for each gallery that will take you to the same gallery of pictures, formatted the same and in the same size, as our original Gallery, VBS 2006.
	VBS 2006 Our children and their friends experienced life in old Jerusalem during Holy Week centered around the marketplace. The Marketplace was astir with news of and reactions to events from Palm Sunday through the Last Supper, Gethsemane, Jesus' Trial, his Crucifiction, and his Ressurection on Easter Sunday. At some time or another many of the main players of the week were seen and heard by the children, shopkeepers, and day to day people in the marketplace as they talked about and watched events unfold. 	VBS 2007 This year our immersion in the culture and life of the Israelites centered in Galilee, a seacoast town by the Sea of Galilee during the time of Jesus. Our children and their friends met people of the town and got to know first hand the events of Jesus' life and times. 	Oktoberfest • Highlights of 2007 & 2008 Oktoberfest is one of the most beloved celebrations of our German heritage. As such it has been, perhaps, our favorite and most honored fellowship event for many years. Ever since we began our website makeover we have wanted to include an Oktoberfest gallery. Since two have passed during the interim we combined scenes from both to include both new people and those who may have left. 	St. Louis Confirmation Trip 2008 Every summer our Confirmands get to take a trip to celebrate their freedom... er,... ahem, Achievement. This year they got to explore their Lutheran heritage in what is sometimes known as the "holy city ". Guess what. They found out they really had one (but, with nothing to do with Yosemite Sam). 	VBS 2009 This year our immersion in the culture and life of the Israelites concentrated on the life and times of the early Christian Church, particularly in Rome during the imprisonment of Saint Paul. Our children and their friends got to meet him, as well as people of the city and got to know first hand the courage and dedication of him and the early Christians, as well as their trials,successes, sorrows, and joys.
