Stephen Edward Koenig is the son of he
late Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Koenig. He was born June 29,
1945 in Palm Beach County, Florida and is the eldest of six
children. Having gone to public schools in Auburn, Indiana,
Pastor Koenig began his preparation for the Holy Ministry at
Concordia College High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
graduating in 1963.
He then entered Concordia Lutheran
Junior College, Ann Arbor, Michigan, graduating with the
first class in 1965. Pastor Koenig's college education was
completed with graduation from Concordia Senior College,
Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1967. In September of 1967 he
entered Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, Missouri. His 3rd
year of Seminary training was spent as Vicar at Bethany
Lutheran Church, Parma, Ohio. On May 29, 1972, he graduated
from the Seminary and was ordained into the Holy Ministry on
June 27, 1971, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Parma, Ohio. His
installation as Assistant Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Merrill, Wisconsin, was July 24, 1971.
Subsequently, he became Associate
Pastor at Trinity. Pastor Koenig served Christ Lutheran
Church, Anderson, Indiana, from October 24, 1976 until June
22, 1986. From June 1986 to April 2001 he served as Pastor
at St. James Lutheran Church, Reynolds, Indiana. While there
he served as Circuit Counselor for the Indiana District
LCMS.
Pastor Koenig and Patricia Louise
Richter were married June 1, 1968, at Mount Calvary Lutheran
Church, Milwaukee Wisconsin, her home congregation. They are
the parents of three children, Elizabeth Marie, born
December 7, 1969; Jill Kristen, born March 19, 1971; and
Alexander Stephen, born October 12, 1972.
Mrs. Koenig graduated from Concordia
Teachers College, River Forest, Illinois, in 1967. She has
taught First Grade and Nursery School and been a teacher's
aide in both Fifth Grade and Second Grade.

Cindy Namanny is a
1978 graduate from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota
with a B.A. in Elementary Education and DCE Certification.
She previously served at St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Carroll, Iowa and later at Trinity Lutheran Church in Des
Moines, Iowa.
She is married to
Curtis Namanny and they have had four children, Steven, a
Director of Christian Outreach (DCO), Laura, presently in
our heavenly kingdom, Joel, and Rachel.
